     No one culture describes Kenya. There are many different cultures in Kenya. Kikuyu 22%, Luhya 14%, Luo 13%, Kalenjin 12%, and Kamba 11% are the top five most populated tribes in Kenya. The top two religions in Kenya are Protestant 45% and Roman Catholic 33%.
 
     The most popular food in Kenya is Nyama Choma. This is a beef roast. Beef is the cheapest meat in Kenya. Annother food that is popular in Kenya is Kachumbari. This is a mixture of onions, parsley, chopped tomatoes, pepper, and sometimes avocado. Kachumbari is mainly served with Nyama Choma. The most popular drink in Kenya is Mursik. Mursik is a drink made out of fermented milk and charcoal.
 
     In Kenya, there is an estimated 2.2 million people that are affected with HIV/AIDS. 1.5 million have already died from this virus. Approximately 700 people are dying daily. There are about on out of every 5 people that are affected by HIV/AIDS. 8% of men in Kenya have it and 14% of women have this virus. There has been violence between tribes in Kenya lately.  An approximate 500 people die each day due to vioence between tribes.The picture at the top of this page shows a young child crying right before his mother and siblings are buried.
